I am Buddhist practitioner Golden Light. Today, with immense gratitude, I share with you all my experience of Buddhist practice. The topic is: Overcome gaming addiction by reciting Buddhist scriptures

I began practicing Buddhism and reciting Buddhist scriptures in 2014. Through Buddhist practice, I have resolved many challenges in life.

In 2019, my son, aged 22, developed a habit of playing games after work, sometimes staying up all night gaming with colleagues, disrupting his sleep schedule. In response, I made a vow to help him overcome his gaming addiction by reciting 108 Little Houses for his karmic creditors, and praying to Guan Yin Bodhisattva for blessings. Later, he informed me that he had uninstalled the games.

However, after some time, he downloaded them again. In response to his gaming, I repaid 3×108 Little Houses for his karmic creditors.

One day, my son spontaneously messaged me, expressing his inability to find peace, even just browsing the news on his phone, as he felt restless and wanted to focus on studying…… However, he had successfully quit gaming. It was truly remarkable because I never once disclosed to him that I had been reciting Buddhist scriptures for him, seeking Guan Yin Bodhisattva’s aid in overcoming his gaming addiction. He had also never heard me provide any psychological guidance to him.

The power of the Little House is truly miraculous; karma is resolved swiftly, and negative habits are relinquished quickly! Therefore, the efficacy of Little House is boundless, and we must persevere in our recitations.

Only when we are capable of self-improvement can we extend our help to our loved ones when they need it.

Buddhist practitioner: Golden Light, Gratitude and Namaste!

Received: 2024-01-31

Posted: 2024-02-28

Statement by translator

The story was translated from Chinese into English by meaning, not word by word.
