Today, to save all sentient beings, I will learn from the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva to spread Dharma. I will convince sentient beings to practice Buddhism using my experiences. May Guan Yin Bodhisattva bless me and help me turn my propagation into merits and virtues. I hope my propagation can form positive connections with all sentient beings, transform the right ones extensively, and awaken more beings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hello everyone! I am Buddhist practitioner Ping An Jixiang. Today, I would like to share how reciting Buddhist scriptures helped me get through a difficult period and how the blessings of the Bodhisattvas led to my complete recovery from post-COVID complications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In March 2022, the COVID-19 outbreak suddenly hit our area, and the local authorities swiftly implemented lockdown measures in our neighborhood. During the lockdown, I found myself stranded in another area where there were no outbreaks, unable to return home. I had to reside in the dormitory provided by my company. Just before the lockdown, I began to feel extremely fatigued and weak. Upon moving into the dormitory, I started experiencing severe coughing fits. This filled me with fear and also caused anxiety among my dormitory mates. To alleviate their worries, I took the opportunity to move to a different dormitory, where I lived alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Little did I know, my condition worsened rapidly. Around March 22nd, in the evening, as I lay in bed, I began to struggle to breathe. Desperately, I cried out, “Mother Guan Yin Bodhisattva, please save me, Mother Guan Yin Bodhisattva, please save me…” After calling out the sacred name of Guan Yin Bodhisattva tens of times, my breathing gradually returned to normal. I am truly grateful to Mother Guan Yin Bodhisattva [Note 1<\/strong>]; She is indeed compassionate and responsive to prayers! Master Lu has taught us in Buddhism in Plain Terms<\/em> that in emergencies, we should recite the sacred name of Guan Yin Bodhisattva without delay! Our great mother\u2014Mother Guan Yin Bodhisattva\u2014will definitely hear our cries for help and come to our rescue. Her compassion and responsiveness are truly miraculous!<\/p>\n\n\n\n After that night, I remembered that Master Lu had instructed us to recite the Medicine Buddha Dharani<\/em> to avoid the epidemic. I dared not slack off; I diligently did my recitations every day, reciting the Medicine Buddha Dharani<\/em> and the Guan Yin Ling Gan Dharani<\/em> (as instructed by the Bodhisattva in my dream) [Note 2<\/strong>].<\/p>\n\n\n\n Around the evening of March 26th, 2022, I experienced severe throat pain and difficulty swallowing. Sensing this might be an infectious or spiritual disease, I immediately sent a message to my wife (who is also a fellow practitioner in our Dharma Door), asking her to promptly burn and repay some Little Houses for my karmic creditors the next morning to heal my throat. Master Lu has taught us that infectious diseases are spiritual diseases [Note 3<\/strong>].<\/p>\n\n\n\n The next day, after my wife burned the Little Houses for my karmic creditors, my throat miraculously healed, and swallowing became smooth again! I am immensely grateful to our great mother\u2014Mother Guan Yin Bodhisattva\u2014for bringing such a wonderful Dharma Door to this world to save us suffering sentient beings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At the same time, I also experienced pain in my left and right sides of my waist. Realizing that the virus or spiritual afflictions were still affecting my body, I urgently requested my wife to burn Little Houses for my karmic creditors. After burning about 80 sheets, my body basically recovered!<\/p>\n\n\n\n However, I still felt that my physical condition was not as healthy as before the illness, and I was much weaker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As the epidemic was effectively controlled, I was finally able to return home and pay my respects to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas by bowing and offering incense. At this point, I was left with many post-COVID complications, such as very poor kidney function, lung issues, and loss of appetite. However, I knew that once I returned home, these lingering effects would improve. With a Buddhist altar at home, our great Buddha Shakyamuni would bless me, and our great mother\u2014Mother Guan Yin Bodhisattva\u2014would also heal my post-COVID complications. As long as we sincerely recite the Medicine Buddha Dharani<\/em>, the great Medicine Buddha will come to help us heal. Additionally, all Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and our compassionate Master will bless our entire family with health!<\/p>\n\n\n\n As of today\u2014July 18, 2022, nearly four months have passed. As I write this sharing, all the post-COVID complications in my body have returned to normal! This is the greatest difference between practitioners of Buddhism and those who do not practice. How fortunate we are to have encountered such profound Buddhist teachings; where there is Buddhism, there is a way! It underscores the importance of diligently practicing the Five Golden Buddhist Practices in our daily lives! Gratitude to the great Buddha Shakyamuni, gratitude to Mother Guan Yin Bodhisattva, and gratitude to Master Lu for bringing to humanity, during this Age of Dharma Decline, such a convenient Dharma Door suitable for lay practitioners to cultivate at home, one that is so exceptional and efficacious in saving suffering sentient beings like us! Without learning Buddhism, just coping with my post-COVID complications alone would have been a struggle for the rest of my life! Therefore, there are no words other than gratitude\u2014gratitude upon gratitude!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Respectful fellow practitioners, we must cherish the final Dharma vessel bestowed upon us by Mother Guan Yin Bodhisattva in this Age of Dharma Decline.
