Cancer is a complex disease characterized by uncontrolled growth of cells and expansion of these abnormal cells in the body. Cancer caused over 9.6 million deaths worldwide in 2017 alone. Cancer-related mortality in the world is expected to reach 22 million by the year 2030. Among the various approaches employed in cancer treatment, surgery is usually the first treatment of choice, followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy and combinations of these. Today, although it is possible to treat cancer with one treatment method alone or with a combination of different treatment methods, the desired success rate in cancer treatment has not yet been achieved [1]. The reason for this frustrating situation is that doctors or scientists are not able to diagnose the underlying cause that resulted in cancer.
From the Dharma point of view, it is very clear that cancer is a typical spiritual disease. Ascending the spirits is the curing method. The experiences of lung cancer patient Ms. Li demonstrated that the Dharma theory is true.

In March 2007, my immunity suddenly declined. I caught colds and had fevers easily, feeling weak and dizzy and often coughing. Fever medication did not get rid of the symptoms of dizziness and coughing. In June 2007, I went to the hospital for a comprehensive physical examination, and I was diagnosed with lung cancer. Reevaluation in several other hospitals confirmed the diagnosis. I did not know then that this was the outbreak of karma that coincided with the predestined 369 calamity because the Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door was not public yet.
Initially, I absolutely refused surgery and chose conservative treatment. Although I spent 300,000 Chinese Yuan ($40,000 to $50,000), no effects took place. In desperation, I accepted surgery. The surgery left me with serious side effects: back pain, leg pain, cough, numbness at the incision site and unconsciousness. Coupled with the long and painful chemotherapy, I suffered every day feeling tortured beyond what words could express.
Later on, under the guidance of a Buddhist friend, I began to practice Pure Land Buddhism, which allowed me to live through hardship. In October 2013, when another Buddhist friend introduced me to Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door, I felt I would be saved!
First, I made a vow to recite 108 Little Houses for my aborted child. When I repaid 80 Little Houses or so, I dreamed that a little boy was dressed neatly and happily walked away. Fellow practitioners said that my aborted child had left me and ascended to a higher spiritual realm. I was really full of Dharma joy and it strengthened my confidence in practicing Buddhism.
After >200 Little Houses were recited for my karmic creditor, I felt that my health had significantly improved. The sequelae after surgery and the long-term cough had all disappeared. I used to catch colds and get fevers as soon as I had the air conditioner blowing on me when I took the subway. Since then, I am not afraid of air conditioners anymore.
Towards the end of October 2015, the left side of my chest suddenly became unbearably painful, and I couldn’t fall asleep at night because it was difficult to breathe. I repaid 21 Little Houses to my karmic creditor and the symptoms were alleviated. In November, the situation deteriorated again. The hospital examination report showed that it was a lung cancer recurrence and that there was a metastatic nodule located in the left lung, measuring 15mm X 15mm. The doctor advised me to be hospitalized for surgery immediately without delay, but I refused the operation.
I knelt down in front of the Buddha altar, tearfully confessing to Guan Yin Bodhisattva that I was wrong. I thought I had been very diligent in practicing Buddhism, and my karma was eliminated a lot, so I stopped reciting Little Houses for myself. Except for the daily recitation, my time was mainly used to recite the Little Houses for my family members, including my son and my husband. With the Little Houses, I successfully treated my son’s skin diseases and my husband’s bladder stones and hemorrhoids. When I helped them, part of their karma was transferred to me. As a patient just recovering from severe lung cancer, a little extra karma from others will result in my karma outbreak again.
I made 6 vows in front of Guan Yin Bodhisattva:
1. Never kill beings.
2. Become a vegetarian for life.
3. Release 10,000 fish.
4. Recite 1,000 Little Houses for my karmic creditors.
5. Donate 2,000 CNY to print Buddhist scriptures.
6. After recovery, I will convince sentient beings to practice Buddhism using my experiences.
I prayed for the mercy of Guan Yin Bodhisattva to help me to eliminate karma, resolve bad conditions, and get rid of the pain and disease in my body. I increased the number of daily recitations: the Great Compassion Mantra, Heart Sutra, Amitabha Pure Land Rebirth Mantra, Mantra to Untie Karmic Knots, Xiao Zai Ji Xiang Shen Zhou, and Cundi Dharani l recited 49 times per day, and the Eighty-Eight Buddhas Great Repentance I recited 5 times daily. I also read the Buddhism in Plain Terms. Then, I recited the Little House daily only for myself. I often offered Buddhist scriptures to sentient beings with fellow practitioners for free. With the help of fellow practitioners, more than 10,000 fish were released within a month.
Soon after this, I dreamed that Guan Yin Bodhisattva came to my side to bless me. A more fascinating time was when I dreamed that Master Lu came to my side, shook hands with me, smiled and encouraged me by saying: “Cultivate yourself, you are fine.” I woke up with a happy smile and shared the good news with my family members.
I also collaborated with a doctor who practiced Chinese herbal medicine treatments, and my physical condition was getting better all the time. The original left side of my chest no longer hurt and it became easier to breathe. After I came back from the 2016 Dharma Convention in Hong Kong, the recitation of the promised 1,000 Little Houses had been accomplished. The pain was gone! At the end of August, my diagnosis report showed my lung nodules, and the associated symptoms had all disappeared! All indicators of the test results were normal!
Furthermore, the symptoms of kidney stones, kidney cysts, fatty liver, and chronic pyelonephritis that have been afflicting me for more than 20 years have all disappeared! The doctor was surprised, expressing what a miracle this was!

在2007年3月，我身体的免疫力突然下降，经常感冒发烧，浑身无力，并伴随头晕咳嗽。吃药后，虽然烧退了，但头晕咳嗽的症状一直未见好转。直到6月份去医院全面体检，才发现了原因，被初步诊断为肺癌。后来经多家医院复查，确定了初诊结果。拿到诊断单的那一刻，我万念俱灰，只觉天都塌了。那一年我正好53岁，还未接触到心灵法门。现在回过头再看，这不正是369劫难到来，业障爆发的表现么。
尽管已经确诊，一开始我仍拒绝手术，选择保守治疗，试过多种偏方，有一回听说北京一家中医院治疗肺癌有奇效，我便立刻前去问诊拿药。但在历经三个疗程，前后花费近30万元后，病灶仍然存在，丝毫没有见效。在万般无奈之下，我选择了手术，结果术后留下后背疼、腿疼、咳嗽的后遗症，非常严重，刀口周围的部位却麻木无知觉，加上漫长而痛苦的化疗，我每天都被折磨得苦不堪言，生不如死。后来，在一位佛友的引导下，我开始修习净土法门，这使我最终得以度过那段最艰难的时光。特别感恩诸佛菩萨的慈悲加持，让我有缘接触到佛法。 直到2013年10月，一位认识多年的佛友将心灵法门介绍给我，她欣喜的告诉我，我的病有救了！这回是遇到真正的恩师和法宝了！听完她的讲解，我喜极而泣。第二天就迫不及待地去佛友那结缘了心灵法门的书籍和光盘。我一开始连续一个星期反复观看卢台长的法会录像，心中充满了震撼和兴奋。紧接着学习《一命二运三风水》、《白话佛法》等内容，更加深刻认识到四大法宝灵验无比。随后便开始念经、许愿、放生，念小房子。我首先许愿为自己打胎的孩子念108张小房子，当念到80几张时，我梦见一个小男孩穿的干干净净，开开心心地离开了。同修听说这个梦境，告诉我这说明打胎的孩子被超度走了，听了这些话，我真的法喜充满，更加坚定了我学佛的信心和决心。当小房子念到200多张时，我感到身体明显好转转，手术后的后遗症、长期咳嗽等症状全都好了。以前坐地铁时，一吹空调就感冒发烧，现在也全好了。我真的特别开心。一人学佛，全家受益，我的儿子有皮肤上的毛病，每到冬春时他的皮肤就干燥、粗糙。在给儿子念了100多张小房子后，他皮肤的干燥、粗糙也好多了。我还为过世的家人烧送小房子后，有的托梦给我，示现了四相好的梦境。学习心灵法门半年后，我便开始向家人、朋友、同事结缘心灵法门的书籍和光盘，都会非常顺利、有效，有的已经开始念经了。
还有很多人看到我的身体和精神面貌的变化时，都由衷的说：你真是表法了，心灵法门真好。
2015年我和儿子第一次有幸参加了香港法会，受益匪浅，很多师兄在法会现场拍到巨大的莲花，台长坐在莲花上为我们开示，还有的师兄看到了观世音菩萨、诸佛菩萨、龙天护法都来到现场加持法会，场面十分殊胜。更使我激动的是，在法会期间，我得到了恩师卢军宏台长两次握手加持，真是法喜。令我开心的是，之前一直无法安下心来念经的儿子在法会现场开始念经了。更令我惊喜的是，香港法会后，我先生对心灵法门的态度发生了翻天覆地的转变。由原来的不置可否到全力以赴支持我，最终一起和我学佛念经了。现在我们全家都共同学佛念经修行，真是法喜充满。
真的特别感恩观世音菩萨的慈悲加持，感恩恩师卢军宏台长的慈悲加持。香港法会后，我感觉念经更加灵验了：2015年7月的一天，我先生突然尿血，症状特别严重，10分钟时间去了三四趟洗手间，他十分担心。这时我在佛台前祈求大慈大悲的观世音菩萨保佑我先生能够好起来，并立即烧送7张小房子给我先生的要经者。没多久我先生的症状就减轻了。紧接着我们去医院检查，医生诊断为膀胱结石，建议尽快手术。我说再观察几天，因为我相信大慈大悲的观世音菩萨一定能够保佑我先生消除业障、祛除病痛。十分神奇的是，从去医院到回家的三个多小时里，我先生没有再去洗手间，回家后再去洗手间时，血尿全部消失了，完全好了。一个星期后，他又犯了痔疮，便血，疼痛难忍，我帮他许愿烧送7张小房子，症状立刻消失了，这回连医院也没去。两次业障爆发，只烧送了14张小房子，病就全好了，到现在三年多了再也没有复发，四大法宝真的灵验无比！2015年10月底，我的左胸口突然疼痛难忍，不敢喘气，晚上无法入睡，连续几天症状都没有减轻，这时我就烧送了21张小房子后，感觉症状减轻了，我就以为好了，没有继续烧送。可是在11月份情况再次恶化，去医院检查时，被确诊为肺癌复发并转移到左肺上，左肺又长出了结节，是15mm X15mm。医生建议我立即住院手术，不能耽误。此时我害怕极了，并深深地认识到这次病灶复发的严重性和后果，但学佛这两年多使我明白当年右肺的肺癌就是业障爆发所致，如今复发，说明还有很多业障没有消除，还有很多不如理不如法的表现。我拒绝了手术。回到家，我跪在佛台前，泪流满面地向观世音菩萨妈妈忏悔。菩萨妈妈我错了，我没有认真遵守观世音菩萨的教诲，没有好好听从恩师的开示，自以为现在学佛很精进了，业障也消掉了很多，因此为自己念诵小房子就停了下来，每天除了功课之外，集中时间主要为家人念诵小房子，自身旧业未消净，又背了很多新业，最终导致业障再次爆发。我在佛台前深深地忏悔，并向观世音菩萨妈妈再次许愿：
1、永不杀生；终生吃全素；
2、放生1万条鱼；
3、为自己的要经者烧送1千张小房子；
4、捐赠2千元助印经书；病好后一定现身说法，救度更多有缘的人。
祈求观世音菩萨慈悲，帮助我消除业障、化解恶缘、祛除身上的病痛和病灶。我增加了每天的功课数量：大悲咒、心经、往生咒、解结咒、消灾吉祥神咒、准提神咒各49遍，礼佛大忏悔文5遍，每天为自己念诵小房子，每天学习读诵白话佛法，经常和同修们一起发经书渡人，并在同修们的帮助下，于一个月内放生完1万条鱼以上。
在这之后不久，我梦到了观世音菩萨来到我的身边加持我，我当时就喊菩萨妈妈救救我啊！醒来后心里十分温暖，心里好感动啊，菩萨妈妈太慈悲了，真是闻声救苦有求必应啊。后来我梦到参加放生，看到晴空万里，佛光普照，莲花盛开，鱼儿活蹦乱跳在水里游来游去，非常法喜。
更为法喜的一次是梦到恩师卢台长的法身来到我的身边，和我握手，并笑呵呵地鼓励我说：好好修啊，你没事的。醒来后，我开心地笑醒了，并告诉家人我梦见师父了，师父说我没事了！感恩大慈大悲观世音菩萨慈悲加持，感恩恩师卢军宏台长慈悲加持。这之后我也配合中药治疗，我感到身体状况越来越好，原来疼痛的部位不疼了，呼吸顺畅了。在2016年香港法会回来后，我的一千张小房子也烧送完了。在8月底再去医院检查时，我肺部的结节等症状全部消失了！疼痛消除了！完全好了！化验结果各项指标全部正常！过去一直伴有的肾结石、肾囊肿、脂肪肝、及20多年的慢性肾盂肾炎等症状也全部消失了！连医生都无比惊讶，感叹真是奇迹。真是无比感恩大慈大悲救苦救难的观世音菩萨慈悲救度众生！
