Introduction
Lumbar disc herniation (LDH) is a common affliction of the lumbar spine, affecting 1–2% of the general population in the USA annually. The herniated disc can press on a nerve root and may cause pain, numbness, tingling or weakness of the leg, sometimes called sciatica. After at least 6 weeks of non-surgical treatment is required, and discectomy is the most common surgical treatment for patients with symptomatic LDH and radiculopathy. Despite the excellent short-term clinical outcomes of this procedure, significant complications, such as re-herniation and low back pain, are observed following surgery [1]. Apparently, LDH is a disease that cannot be cured successfully by doctors. Normally, if a disease cannot be treated by doctors, it is a karmic disease. Thus, LDH is a karmic disease. For karmic diseases, only by practising Buddhism to eliminate karma can it be cured.
My family name is Sun, am a female, 43 years old in 2016, Junior High Degree, from Jiangsu province, China.
Before practising Buddhism, I was ignorant of the law of cause and effect. I often killed fish and chickens, and even worse, I had two miscarriages. Although I knew nothing about Dharma, I would not be able to escape the punishment from the law of cause and effect.
In the summer of 2016, I suffered from the LDH, which caused severe back pain and weakness. I saw both Chinese and Western doctors, took a lot of medications and did acupuncture, but nothing helped. The pain it caused was unbearable and made me restless every day. I also lost more than 5 kilograms of body weight.
After being tortured by LDH for about 4 months, my sister learned about my situation and advised me to practice the three golden Buddhist practices. When I picked up the Buddhist scripture and recited the Great Compassion Mantra for the first time, I immediately smelled the sandalwood fragrance all over the room. My sister told me Guan Yin Bodhisattva came to my home. I was really full of Dharma joy! I did my homework by daily reciting the Great Compassion Mantra 21 times, Heart Sutra 21 times, the Eighty-eight Buddhas Great Repentance Text 1 time, Qi Fo Mie Zui Zhen Yan, Xiao Zai Ji Xiang Shen Zhou, Cundi Dharani, Amitabha Pure Land Rebirth Mantra, and Mantra to Untie Karmic Knots all 21 times.
Approximately a month after I practiced Dharma, my sister helped me set up a Buddhist altar at my home. That day, I knelt in front of the Guan Yin Bodhisattva and made three vows:
1. become a vegetarian for life and never kill animals;
2. repay my karmic creditor 108 Little Houses within 6 months;
3. release fish worth 400 CYN within 6 months.
I prayed for Bodhisattva to help me cure my LDH. That night, I dreamed I was in the sky and saw many Bodhisattvas. Afterward, I dreamed that Master Lu got on a boat, but I couldn’t get on board. I shouted: “Master! Wait for me!”
About 3 months after I made the vows, when 70 Little Houses were paid to my karmic creditors, my back pain disappeared. Weight regained! I have practiced Buddhism ever since. As of now, 5 years have passed, the LDH has never returned. The three golden Buddhist practices are really effective! The Dharma is the truth! Guan Yin Bodhisattva is merciful and helped me through the predestined 369 calamity smoothly!

我今天分享的主题是： 三大法宝治愈了我腰椎间盘突出
学佛前，对因果一点也不懂，经常杀鱼、杀鸡，更有甚者，还打掉两个孩子。谁曾想，懂因果与不懂因果，都难逃因果的法网。
2016年，我43岁。夏天，我患上了腰椎间盘突出，导致严重的腰痛，全身无力。当时中西医都看了，也吃了好多药，做了针灸，治疗两个月也未见好转。疼痛难忍的腰痛病症，让我每天坐立不安，人也消瘦了十几斤。
被病痛折磨大约4个月后，我姐了解了我的情况，就度我学心灵法门。她教我如何运用三大法宝，许愿、放生、念经，来治疗我的腰痛。 当我捧起经书第一次念诵《大悲咒》时，我立刻闻到满屋子的檀香味。我姐告诉我说，是菩萨妈妈到我家了，真的是法喜充满！我每天功课《大悲咒》21遍，《心经》21遍，《礼佛大忏悔文》1遍，《七佛灭罪真言》21遍，《消灾吉祥神咒》21遍，《准提神咒》21遍，《往生咒》21遍，《解结咒》21遍。
在我修习心灵法门后一个月左右，我姐就帮我家设了佛台。设佛台当天，我跪在菩萨妈妈面前许愿：终身吃全素，永不杀生。我许愿给自己的要经者，6个月内念诵108张经文组合，6个月内放生400元钱的鱼。祈求菩萨妈妈，帮我医治腰椎间盘突出的病症。当晚，我就梦见我到了天上，看到很多尊菩萨。接着，梦见师父上了一艘船上，我没跟上。在梦中，我喊，师父！等等我啊！
大约3个月后，当给我的要经者烧送了70张经文组合后，我的腰不痛了，体重也恢复了正常！三大法宝真的是太灵验了！心灵法门真实不虚！菩萨妈妈太慈悲了，也帮我渡过了43周岁的关劫！
希望师兄们通过我的分享能够坚定道心，精进学佛，学师父无我利他，弘法度人，做观世音菩萨的千手千眼，一门精进，永不退转，一世修成，永断轮回。
