ABSTRACT
According to the website of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), “Cancer is a disease in which some of the body’s cells grow uncontrollably and spread to other parts of the body.” They ascribe the causes of cancer to Age, Alcohol, Cancer-Causing Substances, Chronic Inflammation, Diet, Hormones, Immunosuppression, Infectious Agents, Obesity, Radiation, Sunlight, and Tobacco [1]. Indeed, there is no doubt that the 12 causes identified by the NCI can lead to cancer, as substantiated through numerous animal tests and clinical observations.
Beyond NCI’s 12 causes, additional factors may contribute to cancer development. Even after undergoing surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy, and avoiding the 12 causes, some patients experience the spread of cancer cells. In cases where patients, particularly those in Phase IV, are deemed untreatable by conventional medicine, alternative intervention may be effective.
One such factor is the predestined calamity that is the outburst of karma created during the past. Its occurrence generally coincides with the age of 369 (The units digit of the age is 3, 6, or 9). In Buddhist terms, one will experience the predestined calamity due to karma flare-up at the age of 369, resulting in cancer. It indicates that factors beyond the known 12 causes may be involved in cancer initiation. Despite medical interventions, patients may still face cancer recurrence, hinting at undiscovered factors. Additionally, practicing Buddhism is suggested as a means of curing cancer, presenting an alternative to conventional medical approaches.
Based on the clinical observations of cancer and the experiences of Buddhists in dealing with the disease, it is posited that cancer can be caused by either the NCI’s 12 factors, karma, or a combination of both. Regardless of the specific cause, cancer patients are occupied by spirits, as the onset of karma attracts spirit presence. Therefore, in the treatment of cancer, merely addressing malignant cells is deemed insufficient. A comprehensive approach involves both the removal of cancer cells and the expulsion of spirits. Only through the removal of spirits can patients achieve full recovery of their health.
The several cases will illustrate how an individual develop cancer through the accumulation of killing karma [Case S1] and how they can undergo healing through Buddhism [Cases S2-S3], even in instances where the cancer has metastasized [Case S4].
RESULT OF FOUR CANCER PATIENTS TREATED BY BUDDHISM
Case S1. The slaughtered sheep came back to collect karmic debts by inducing cancer cells [2]
Hello, everyone! I am the fellow Buddhist practitioner Yaran. It is with profound gratitude that I share with you my Buddhist experience.
Today, to save all sentient beings, I will learn from the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva to spread Dharma. I pray the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva to bless me. I will convince sentient beings to practice Buddhism using my experiences. May Guan Yin Bodhisattva bless me and help me turn my propagation into merits and virtues. I hope my propagation can form positive connections with all sentient beings, transform the right ones extensively, and awaken more beings.
I was blessed to encounter the Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door in May 2019.
One night in the first half of 2020, I dreamed of a big sheep’s head in a bloody forest. Then I dreamed that my husband went to a medical checkup with one of his classmates. When he came back he told me that his classmate was fine but he himself had abnormal cells in his neck. However, he is fine for now.
When I woke up in the morning, this dream did not attract enough attention. Because I hadn’t practiced Buddhism for a long time, and there was no one to guide me, I had to call a Buddhist practitioner in Australia Oriental Media Group. I told the dream in detail to the Buddhist practitioner. Then, the Buddhist practitioner asked me, “How old is your husband? Is he in a 3, 6 or 9 predestined calamity?” I replied, “Not this year, he will be 43 next year, which is 3, 6, 9.” The Buddhist practitioner said, “That may be the Bodhisattva’s compassionate reminder that your husband will have a predestined calamity next year, so you should help your husband to recite the Little House to resolve the calamity in advance.
I vowed to Guan Yin Bodhisattva that I would recite 21 Little Houses for my own karmic creditor by ascending this sheep in my dream. However, I did not vow to recite the Little House for my husband’s karmic creditor.
Subsequently, this dream suddenly reminded me of an incident 2 or 3 years ago. Once, my husband’s boss would bring his friends to the workplace. In order to entertain them, my husband had booked a sheep at a restaurant in a tourist spot a day in advance. He was going to serve them roasted whole sheep. When I arrived at my husband’s workplace that afternoon, I told him not to kill. I myself had not yet studied Buddhism at that time, but I knew we could not eat living things. Anything that had life, we could not eat. I tried to stop him, but he said he had already placed the order in the morning and it was too late to cancel it. Unfortunately, I was unable to save the sheep.
The next day, a group of us headed to that tourist attraction. We all sat around the table and ate roasted whole sheep together but I couldn’t really take a bite of it because I knew it was sentient beings’ meat. It was not appropriate to eat their meat, or at least not to let them die because of you. So, I didn’t eat a bite, and my heart ached for the sheep. I just ate some cold vegetables. This was the only time I attended my husband’s treatment. As a result, it makes me dream. The bloody sheep’s head in my dream is the same sheep my husband hurt a few years ago!
I thought that since that sheep had come to my dream and asked me for recited Buddhist scriptures, I had to properly ascend it. I prayed to Guan Yin Bodhisattva that I would ascend this sheep. When I burned and repaid the Little House, I did not say specifically to whom the Little House was given. Instead, I said it was for my own karmic creditor. I prayed in general terms for myself as well, but the intention was to ascend this sheep. I felt sure Guan Yin Bodhisattva would have arranged it. Maybe the number of Little Houses I burned and repaid was not enough. Later, as long as my husband returned (We live in two places), at night, as soon as I lay on my bed and closed my eyes, between what seemed to be a dream and not a dream, I could sense this sheep manifesting in front of my eyes. Once I sensed it, I burned and repaid 3 or 7 Little Houses. I didn’t vow a big number. Later, I seldom dreamed of it again, thinking I had already ascended it.
When I was 39 years old in 2021, I was about to face a 369 predestined calamity. In May, when I was passing the predestined calamity, I once again dreamed of this sheep. In the dream, I heard the Dharma Protector Bodhisattva remind me of these words: “Thyroid cancer!” I woke up immediately and was terrified. In the past 2 days, my throat was uncomfortable and I thought it was pharyngitis, but it turned out it was still related to this sheep.
Guan Yin Bodhisattva is so compassionate that She has awakened me since last year when my husband had an upcoming calamity. Bodhisattva enlightened me to help him resolve his upcoming calamity earlier. By helping him resolve it last year, I can relieve myself of the pressure of passing my 369 predestined calamity this year. Unfortunately, Guan Yin Bodhisattva’s awakening did not draw enough attention from me. I really don’t know anything, I am so foolish!
The next morning, I hurriedly called the Australia Oriental Media Group. Buddhist practitioner Chen answered the phone. I told her about the dream, “I had ascended the sheep in the name of my karmic creditor previously.” On her advice, I vowed to Guan Yin Bodhisattva.
(1). Take out 108 Little Houses from the total number of Little Houses that I had vowed for passing predestined calamity to ascend this sheep exclusively.
(2). Liberate 2,000 fish for myself.
In response to this matter, I recited the Eighty-eight Buddhas Great Repentance, praying to Guan Yin Bodhisattva to help me repent of my wrongdoings and eliminate karma. After that, I stepped up my Buddhist recitations and accomplished my vows in 2.5 months.
Master Lu has enlightened us that the usual period for a premonitory dream is 1-3 months. During this period, it is possible to convert karma by reciting the Little House. When I recited >50 Little Houses, I suddenly realized there were many red bumps on my neck. It was summer, so I thought, “Guan Yin Bodhisattva must have helped me expel toxins from my thyroid gland.” I am really grateful to Guan Yin Bodhisattva! Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door is true! The Little House is a miracle!
Being together as husband and wife, there is the shared karma. I thought that although I didn’t kill this sheep, since it came to me in my dream, it was also my karmic creditor. As a matter of fact, once I dreamed that during the Anti-Japanese War, the Japanese chased me and others. We hid all around. Then I saw sheep. The sheep drew the Japanese away. We were saved. This sheep was my savior in my past life, but we hurt it in this life. I’m really sorry for it. Guan Yin Bodhisattva is really compassionate, enlightening me about these karmic consequences. My husband does not study Buddhism and is ignorant. He did not know that the meat he ate was my savior. I am determined to properly ascend this sheep.
After I burned and paid all 108 Little Houses, my voice healed without realizing it. My husband passed his birthday in July and is safe and sound. He was blessed by the Bodhisattva as well! Since he and I are both on predestined calamity 369 this year, I am really grateful to Guan Yin Bodhisattva for not only helping me with my predestined calamity but also helping my husband with his predestined calamity.
Master Lu has taught us time and again that we must become vegetarians, whole vegetarians, and not consume meat. Every piece of meat we eat has karmic obstacles. Sometimes, what we eat may be our own relatives or life-savers! As Buddhist practitioners, we must become vegetarian when we can! Being vegetarian is good for our health, we will not create new karma, and we will have merits and virtues as a result. Being vegetarian is the easiest thing we can do. Being vegetarian for 1 day we can accumulate merits and virtues for 1 day. We should never eat animals that are killed alive, let alone kill them! Karma is real!
In addition to being grateful, I am still grateful! I can never repay Guan Yin Bodhisattva and Master Lu enough for their kindness.
If there is anything that is not rational or in line with the truth in the presentation, I pray for forgiveness from the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva, all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and Dharma protectors. I would appreciate my fellow Buddhist practitioners’ critique and correction!
I, not my fellow Buddhist practitioners, will be responsible for my own karma!

Case S2. Farewell to uterine cancer with 3 golden Buddhist practices [3]
Today, to save all sentient beings, I will learn from the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva to spread Dharma. I will convince sentient beings to practice Buddhism using my experiences. May Guan Yin Bodhisattva bless me and help me turn my propagation into merits and virtues. I hope my propagation can form positive connections with all sentient beings, transform the right ones extensively, and awaken more beings so that more sentient beings will believe in the Dharma, believe in Guan Yin Bodhisattva, practice Buddhism and cultivate their minds as soon as possible.
Hello everyone, I am Happiness, a Dharma practitioner. Today, with immense gratitude I’m here to share with you: Farewell to uterine cancer with three golden Buddhist practices
At the end of 2017, I had the honor of coming into contact with Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door. Practicing Buddhism has led to many efficacious cases. It made me have great faith in Buddhism from the bottom of my heart!
When I was 46 in 2017, I was diagnosed with uterine cancer as a predestined 369 calamity. I need surgery, according to the doctor. However, despite paying, I could not make an appointment. At the end of 2017, I met Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door. Through studying Master Lu’s videos, I learned that cancer is a “spiritual disease”. Not only do I need to go to the hospital for treatment, but I also have to recite Buddhist scriptures to ascend the karmic creditors. Then, I can truly cure the illness. After I read many miraculous cases shared by fellow Buddhist practitioners, I soon made a vow to become a vegetarian.
For uterine cancer, I made 3 vows:
(1). Release 6,000 fish (done in a month or so). I then made 2 more vows, both to release 6,000 fish (done again within a couple of months).
(2). Transform all sentient beings, and persuade them to learn Buddhism and recite Buddhist scriptures.
(3). Recite 108 Little Houses for my karmic creditors within a year.
After practicing Buddhism and reciting Buddhist scriptures for >5 months, I returned to the hospital to get a physical check. Although I did not have surgery, all my indexes have returned to normal. It is really a blessing! I am grateful to the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva for Her compassionate salvation!
Buddha’s teachings have changed the destiny of countless people, including me! It is my sincere wish that those who have the chance to see my sharing do not hesitate, do not wander, embrace Buddhism firmly, live in the Dharma, and let the Dharma fuse with your lifestyle! Let us use the five Dharma Gems of “making vows, performing life liberation, reciting Buddhist scriptures, repenting of wrongdoings and refraining from doing them, and reading Buddhism in Plain Terms,” taught to us by the Master, to solve all kinds of problems in our lives. Change our destiny, so that every day on earth is like living in heaven!
If there is anything that is not rational or in line with the truth in the presentation, I’d like to seek forgiveness from Namo Sakyamuni Buddha, the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva, all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and Dharma protectors.
I, not my fellow practitioners, will be responsible for my own karma!
Gratitude to Namo Sakyamuni Buddha!

Gratitude to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas from ten directions and three periods of time!

Case S3. Breast cancer cells disappear through Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door [4]
Hello everyone! My name is Miaoyu, and I am a fellow Buddhist practitioner. Today, with deep gratitude, I would like to share with you an efficacious experience that has happened to me since I started practicing Buddhism. The title is: Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door is unsurpassedly efficacious and the Bodhisattva has blessed me with a new life and everything is going well!
I pray to Namo Sakyamuni Buddha and the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva to bless me. I hope my propagation can form positive connections with all sentient beings.
Around 2020, Buddhist practitioner Suyuan, who took refuge in Buddhism soon, came to transform me and asked me to practice Buddhism. She kept sending me information and the touching videos of Master Lu reading the totems for 2 or 3 months. However, because the time to practice Buddhism was not mature enough, and also because I was overly greedy, I did not start practicing. My reason is I need to earn money to support my family so I didn’t have the time.
In the summer of 2020, my age-related 369 predestined calamity approached. One day, I felt pain in my breast area and immediately took myself to the county hospital for a checkup. The examination result was unacceptable to me and like a thunderbolt. I was diagnosed with breast cancer! The doctor said I needed to be hospitalized right away for a mastectomy. At that time, I didn’t believe the test results.
The next day, I travelled to the city hospital. I found an expert doctor to check. After a consultation with several other expert doctors, they all recommended hospitalization immediately for a mastectomy. The doctor also said that if I didn’t have a mastectomy, I could only live for half a year at most! I don’t want to die yet. I love my children and they need me. I love my siblings. I enjoyed my job! However, I did not have enough money for surgery.
To be honest, the first half of my life has been very challenging. My parents passed away early. I had a broken marriage and was a single mom. For >20 years, I raised 2 children on my own. The incomplete family has caused me hardship. Now the illness has broken me down physically and mentally. Instantly, I was frustrated, hopeless and helpless! I deeply felt what it meant to be “up the creek without a paddle; to be without any aid!”However, I was unwilling to resign to fate. I hated the injustice of the world. I hated the people who brought me all this pain. I was foolish enough to want revenge. I helplessly planned what I would do before I died.
Nevertheless, one day, my mind suddenly flashed to the video links and the Master’s enlightenment I received earlier from Buddhist practitioner Suyuan. I watched them for 2 days and 2 nights in a row, and all of a sudden it dawned on me. If I recite Buddhist scriptures and cultivate my mind, won’t I be able to solve my own problems? After reciting the Buddhist scriptures, I could rely on the Dharma’s power to change my destiny. I would rely on the Bodhisattvas’ power to fight against my destiny on earth. I thought to myself: I was a dying person anyway, so why not try reciting the Buddhist scriptures?
I quit my job, put down all my chores, and focused on reciting Buddhist scriptures. A few days later, a fellow Buddhist practitioner offered me a small Buddhist altar. With Soyuan’s help, I set up a Buddhist altar at home. I also learned how to use the three great Dharma Gems: making vows, releasing living creatures, and reciting Buddhist scriptures to eliminate karma.
I made 3 vows to Guan Yin Bodhisattva:
(1). Be a vegetarian on the first and fifteenth days of each month of the lunar year, not to kill, and never to eat live seafood;
(2). Release 10,000 fish. Firstly release 1,200 fish in 3 months, and then release the rest fish according to conditions until they are done (the 10,000 fish I vowed for liberation was done in 1.5 years. Then, I vowed to liberate another 10,000 fish);
(3). Recite 49 Little Houses in 3 months for my karmic creditors, 21 of which are given to my aborted child.
From that moment on, I concentrated on reciting Buddhist scriptures and tried hard to fulfill my vows. While reciting Buddhist scriptures to eliminate karma, I also used Chinese herbs to activate blood circulation and remove blood stasis. However, my body deteriorated day by day. My weight dropped rapidly. I was weak. I didn’t want to eat. There were many days when I could only stay alive by drinking water. I thought, sooner or later, I would have to die. It can’t be avoided. At that time, I thought of nothing but reciting Buddhist scriptures. When I was tired and sleepy from reciting, I would lean on the table in front of the small Buddhist altar to nap. When I woke up, I continued reciting Buddhist scriptures. A month later, I finally learned to skillfully recite Buddhist scriptures and the Little House.
One day, I fell asleep in front of the small Buddhist altar and dreamed that a little girl was being taken away. When I woke up, I continued to recite Buddhist scriptures and didn’t think much about it. I didn’t understand anything about Dharma at the time. Later, I realized that the dream told me that my own child, which I had aborted earlier, had been ascended and taken away. After a few more days, I stopped losing weight! From this point on, my condition became better day by day. My body started to gain strength. During this time, I also dreamt of Master Lu. By then, I didn’t realize that it was Master’s Dharmakaya coming to heal me in my dream. One day, I heard the Master’s enlightenment that the Master’s Dharmakaya could heal patients. I was moved to tears!
Although I felt that my body was slowly improving, I still felt I would die one day.
Gratitude to the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva for awarding us such a wonderful Dharma Door on earth. Gratitude to the Greatly Compassionate Father, Master Lu. Your wise teachings and fearless spirit of selflessness and altruism have illuminated my confused life and guided me in my journey. This has allowed me to cultivate my mind and body to eliminate karmic obstacles, to break free from delusion and attain enlightenment, and to be free from suffering and gain happiness!
I have never dared to slack off from the time I started reciting Buddhist scriptures until now. I have recited about 1,000 Little Houses to my karmic creditors (I didn’t record the exact number). During that time, I also used conservative treatments with herbs. I took Compound Danshen tablets according to Master Lu’s enlightenment. About 2 months after I recited Buddhist scriptures, my body slowly returned to normal. In 2022, I returned to the hospital for a recheck. All indicators were normal. I recovered and was cured! I am grateful!
Gratitude to the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva, Gratitude to the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Master Lu for introducing such a wonderful Dharma to the earth to save us, the suffering sentient beings!
The above sharing are all my personal experiences and understanding on Dharma. I hope that through my sharing, more people will believe in the Dharma and become enlightened, strengthen their minds to follow Guan Yin Bodhisattva and Master Lu to cultivate minds and bodies well, devote ourselves to one Buddhist practice and never quit, deeply believe in the law of cause and effect, and cut off evils and cultivate good deeds!
My fellow Buddhist practitioners, we must follow our karma and save sentient beings. We should release more lives. Life release can cultivate compassion, ensure good health, promote career success, dissolve calamities, eliminate karma and prolong life. We can get the protection of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, Guan Yin Bodhisattva and the benefactor father Master Lu! I am grateful to Soyuan, who transformed me into a Buddhist. I am grateful to all my fellow Buddhist practitioners who have helped me. I am grateful for everything! This is the end of my sharing.
Gratitude to Namo Sakyamuni Buddha!
Gratitude to the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva!
Gratitude to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas from ten directions and three periods of time!
Gratitude to the Dharma protectors!
Gratitude to the selfless, altruistic, and benevolent Master Jun Hong Lu!
Gratitude to my fellow Dharma practitioners’ compassion!

Case S4. Metastasized Phase IV cancer recovers via Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door [5]
Since I have practiced Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door for a few months, I have had several efficacious events during reciting Buddhist scriptures. I would like to share this with you in the hope that more people can practice Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door. I hope that those sentient beings who are enduring pain will be free from suffering and happy.
In 2010, I was unfortunate enough to suffer from an early stages of breast cancer and had surgery. A year later, a tumor grew in my chest. I began to go around praying to the heavens, looking for witch doctors, and Chinese medicine practitioners for treatment. I was advised to take refuge in Buddhism by my family. However, I didn’t understand what Buddhism was about. Even though I have been contacting Buddhism for many years, I have always fallen victim to greed, hatred, and delusion. In the dark sea of bitterness, I have no idea how painful it is.
After returning from China in December 2013, my health declined. My cousin told me about Master Lu’s Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door. I thought I only respected the Bodhisattva, and I had a few suspicions about Master Lu, so I didn’t take it seriously. Here I sincerely repent!
In June 2014, I lost a lot of weight. My face was gray and yellowish. I had pain in my thighs, and I couldn’t lift my legs when I walked. My family urged me to go to the hospital for an examination. CT scan indicated that cancer cells had metastasized all over my body, lymph, spine, and liver. In the lungs and skin, it was already the 4th stage of cancer. The doctor said it had spread and could not be operated on. There were cancer cells in the upper, middle and lower vertebrae of the three parts of the spine. I would be paralyzed if I fell accidentally. It was really a bolt out of the blue! Those were the darkest days of my life. The original happy family plunged into the dark abyss from then on.
My cousin once again brought a book of Buddhist scriptures to the hospital and urged me to recite Buddhist scriptures properly. I really had no other way out. I tried to watch Master Lu’s CD-ROMs, read Q&A on Dharma, and Buddhism in Plain Terms. I learned that Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door could eliminate karmic obstacles, and alleviate illnesses. It wasn’t until then that I realized that cancer is a karmic disease. I have karmic creditors , i.e., spirits. Because I have spirits in my body, I suffer from cancer. They come to harass when one’s fortune fails. Especially when one is dying of illness, all the karmic creditors appear. Anyone who approaches us must have something to do with us in our past lives. I also learned about the three Great Dharma Gems of Guan Yin Bodhisattva: making vows, reciting Buddhist scriptures, and performing life liberation. The Little House can pay off debts and atone for sins. Through cultivating our behavior and minds to remove the karmic obstacles created by our past sins. By accumulating merits and virtues, I can change my destiny and cure my illnesses. I also learned that, after a baby is aborted, it is usually difficult to reincarnate. Their souls (spirits) will follow us, and may cause tumors over time.
When I got home from the hospital I walked to the front of the Bodhisattva and knelt down and cried bitterly for a long time. I prayed to the Bodhisattva to help me. I felt that I hadn’t done my filial piety to my parents properly. Until now, I hadn’t given back to society. Most importantly, I had just met Master Lu and hadn’t had a chance to introduce such a great Dharma Door to more people. I prayed to the Bodhisattva to give me a bit more time to devote to meaningful things. I vowed not to eat live sea animals. I would be a vegetarian on the first and fifteenth of every lunar month. I would release living creatures every month. I would recite the Buddhist scriptures every day. I would convince sentient beings to practice Buddhism using my experiences.
When I started reciting Buddhist scriptures, two days later in my dream I heard the Dharma voice of Master Lu. He told me to recite more of the Mantra to Untie Karmic Knots. Then, I heard the Bodhisattva’s voice: “Thousand Hands and Thousands of Eyes, and turn misfortune into good fortune.” I knew that these were the encouragement and empowerment of the Bodhisattva and my Master’s Dharmakaya, which increased my confidence. I began to recite Buddhist scriptures diligently and the Little House to my karmic creditors.
During chemotherapy, my gums were swollen and painful. One night I had an incredible dream. A large hand held a pair of pliers and uprooted my big tooth with bruises and pus from my gums. The next day I woke up without gum pain. I was really grateful to the Bodhisattva and my Master, Jun Hong Lu.
After reciting 49 Little Houses to my karmic creditors, I cannot say I am cured. However, the pain a cancer patient has to suffer is almost nonexistent. I know I didn’t practice well, but the Bodhisattva has mercy on me, and responds to my requests!
I attended Penang Dharma Convention in January 2015 to worship the Master. I received Master Lu’s blessing. A week after the convention, I dreamed I entered a spacious and bright room. The Master was reading the totem for overseas disciples. The Master looked at my totem. Three silly big-headed ghosts lurk in the back, He warned. The rest of my body is fine.
Thinking that I had worshiped the Master and received his blessings, I became lazy and recited the Little House very slowly. By April my body started to hurt again and it was difficult to walk. I had to use painkillers to stop the pain again. I thought that this time I would have to face chemotherapy and radiotherapy pain again.
I cried and prayed to the Bodhisattva. I repent of not being diligent enough. I had failed Bodhisattva. I vowed to finish reciting the 118 Little Houses as soon as possible. I repaid my karmic creditors with 7 Little Houses every day. A few days later, I had a dream. When I woke up my dream was a blur, and I didn’t think about it too much. That morning when I was reciting Eighty-Eight Buddhas Great Repentance and burning the Little Houses, suddenly the big head of a child with a golden gourd appeared in my mind. Suddenly I had an inspiration. This was the big head child I dreamed of last night, who came out of the ground. In my previous dream, my Master reminded me to beware of the 3 silly big-headed ghosts behind me. It was really the blessing of the Bodhisattva and my Master’s guidance. This big-headed child did not come out of the ground but from my spine. It was really incredible and I am so grateful to the Bodhisattva and the Master!
After experiencing so much, I realized that “when people do, heaven watches”. The Bodhisattva cares about us all the time and reminds us periodically. I stopped taking painkillers that day. I believed I would recover in a few days. Really after a few days I just got better miraculously. Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door is an elixir on earth. It transcends the physiology and anatomy of Chinese and Western medicine, but it has never denied modern medicine’s positive results. You can take medication, receive injections, see a doctor, and be hospitalized as usual. However, before deciding to undergo a devastating procedure such as an operation, you’d better leave Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door for 1-2 months to make a last-ditch effort. You may have the hope that you can be relieved of the surgery pain.
Now my body recovers like a normal person, and no one knows I was sick. The blessings of the Bodhisattva and my Master have kept me fear-free. Additionally, I firmly believe that the Bodhisattva will definitely save me and I can get through this difficult time. I am grateful to the Bodhisattva for letting me embark on the Buddha’s path, and for giving me an opportunity to repent and pay off my debts. That is why it is the greatest blessing in this life to enter Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door!
Master Lu has been bestowed upon us by the Bodhisattva. People suffering in pain, struggling with illness, and struggling in the world should actively cultivate their minds and study the Buddha’s teachings diligently. Reincarnation and illness are too torturous. Without the Bodhisattva’s compassion and Master’s teachings, I do not know how much we would suffer.
Now, I understand karma better. If I owe a debt in my past life and I can’t pay it off in this life, I will still settle the debt at the end of my life. My Master’s teachings allow us to pay our debts early. If we practice Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door early and willingly repay our debts, we will be debt-free when we leave the world. There will be no obstacles on the Bodhi Path. We will be able to transition to the next life in style and ease. There will be no karmic creditors making things difficult for us. We will be blessed by all the Buddhas and Dharma Protectors. This is such an honor!
I must practice well, remove greed, hatred and delusion, and remove my bad and ignorant habits. I am grateful that I have such an excellent opportunity to be born as a human, as well as lucky to have the chance to meet and learn the Dharma. The Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door that my Master taught me is something I will cherish forever. Cultivating self-control is difficult in the Age of Dharma Decline. I am grateful for having a Master who has allowed us to continue our spiritual journey. I am grateful for my Master’s earnest persuasion, and his tireless efforts for us every day!
I vowed that in my lifetime, I will properly follow Guan Yin Bodhisattva and Master Lu to cultivate my mind and behavior, to be one of the hands and eyes of Guan Yin Bodhisattva, to propagate the Dharma, to help and transform people far and wide, and to never quit!
I sincerely wish that all of you will be free from suffering.
Gratitude to the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva!
Gratitude to the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Master Jun Hong Lu!
Gratitude to my fellow Dharma practitioners!

DISCUSSION
Beyond the 12 scientifically identified causes of cancer, Dharma posits that an additional factor might contribute to the onset of cancer. According to Dharma, spirits, the manifestation of karma, play an important role in causing cancer. This is exemplified in the case where a sheep, the karmic creditor, came to collect debts from the author’s husband [Case S1]. Medical professionals may create a cancer occurrence graph to analyze the relationship between age and cancer detection.
Cancer manifesting at the age of 369 is attributed not to the passage of time but to the activation of one’s karma. The onset of cancer is intricately linked to the presence of karma; those without such karma will not succumb to cancer, even at the age of 369. The origin of karma is diverse, but a prominent source is the act of killing animals, as illustrated by instances such as the killing of sheep [Case S1] and human [6]. This underscores the significance of abstaining from harming living beings, a principle advocated by Bodhisattva. While such actions may not violate human laws, they transgress the laws of the underworld. Despite the absence of legal consequences in human jurisdictions, the underworld laws stand as the arbiter of justice for these transgressions. Punishment from the underworld is not putting you into jail but making you develop cancer, for example. After death, the punishment from the underworld will put you into hell if your killing karma is heavy.
From a molecular standpoint, cancer is initiated by one of the 12 causes that disrupt the normal function of proto-oncogenes and tumor-suppressor genes, ultimately resulting in uncontrolled cell reproduction. As a biologist and a Buddhist, I fully align with this scientific understanding. However, this perspective constitutes only a partial view, not the entirety of the picture. There exists another dimension where spirits can lead to the suffering of cancer.
Take, for instance, a case where an individual has never smoked and avoids secondhand smoke, thereby not being exposed to lung cancer mutagens, yet still develops lung cancer. Such occurrences are abundant. In these situations, the Dharma theory provides a lucid explanation—it is the presence of spirits occupying the body that serves as the catalyst for the onset of cancer.
In summary, we can deduce that both the 12 scientifically identified causes and the spirit cause contribute to the occurrence of cancer. The interplay of molecular factors and spirits collectively shapes the complex landscape of cancer causation.
Following the onset of cancer, a crucial aspect is that patients coexist with both cancer cells and spirits. While medical practitioners focus on removing tumors or eradicating cancer cells, acknowledging only the visible physical aspects, Buddhists emphasize the presence of spirits and aim to elevate them to restore health [Case S2 – S3]. The discrepancy in approaches lies in the differing perspectives on the nature of illness.
From a medical standpoint, the removal of tumors and elimination of cancer cells constitute the primary strategy for rescuing patients. However, this approach may not always lead to a complete cure, especially in advanced cases like Phase IV cancer patients.
Buddhists believe in the effectiveness of addressing spiritual dimensions for health recovery. According to this perspective, the departure of spirits is essential for complete healing. Remarkably, they contend that even Phase IV patients can experience recovery [Case S4] and, in some instances, full cure through their methods [7].
In essence, both medical and Buddhist approaches are considered correct, each with its efficacy, albeit with varying outcomes. Medical interventions may not always result in a cure, particularly in advanced stages, while the spiritual focus of Buddhism holds the potential for comprehensive recovery, even in severe cases. The effectiveness of each approach is contingent on the nature and stage of the disease.
Dharma does not negate the value of medical treatment; in fact, it embraces an inclusive perspective. Master Lu emphasizes that seeking medical assistance is not discouraged. Solely relying on Buddhism without considering medical advice may not be a prudent decision due to variations in the strength of one’s vows. The efficacy of Golden Buddhist Practices, such as reciting Little Houses, is contingent on the power and quality of one’s vows. Inadequate or poorly made vows may not yield significant effects. Not diligently eliminating karma may result in a recurrence of cancer [8]. Moreover, a lack of precision in directing vow efforts towards specific karmic creditors may inadvertently result in bearing the karma of others, including relatives, potentially worsening one’s own condition [9].
Master Lu advises a balanced approach where medical recommendations are followed, and concurrently, Dharma practices, like applying Dharma Gems to settle karmic debts, are incorporated. In cases where surgery becomes necessary due to spirit’s retaliation, Master Lu suggests consulting with doctors to explore the possibility of postponing the surgery for a few months. During this time, intensive Buddhist practices can be undertaken. Subsequent medical check-ups may reveal a once very large stomach tumor has progressively reduced in size to the point where nothing can be seen at all [10], a decrease in cancer indexes [11], showcasing the potential synergy between medical treatment and Dharma practices.
CONCLUSION
The most effective approach to completely cure cancer involves a combination of medical treatment and spirit removal.
