I came into contact with the Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door in December 2012. For me, 2012 was a very challenging year, like the end of the world. However, it was also the year I found hope in despair. My good fortune started from that year!
I still clearly remember, on August 31, my son suddenly fell ill! He had leg pain, arm pain, and a fever. In fact, the initial symptoms appeared around August 20. It started with leg pain, and we thought he was lacking calcium, so we gave him some medication, and he got better. Then he had pain in his right chest, followed by a fever. I took him to the hospital for a blood test.
The test results confirmed it was leukemia. This news hit me like a bolt from the blue. I couldn’t believe it. I wondered why my son would get leukemia! The term ‘leukemia’ was so unfamiliar to me; I had hardly ever heard of it!
He had a bone marrow puncture in the hospital, and the sample was sent to Beijing for testing. When the results came back, I was completely convinced that this terrible news was true! He was diagnosed with acute T-cell lymphoblastic leukemia, the most severe type of leukemia. He started medication and chemotherapy, but they had little effect; his condition just wouldn’t go into remission.
X-ray examinations revealed a 6×9 shadow between the heart and the liver. It was thought to be a tumor, but after further imaging, it was identified as an infiltration of leukemia. Like a tumor, no matter how much chemotherapy and medication were used, the shadow wouldn’t disappear, only shrinking slightly.
The doctors recommended that he be discharged and go to Beijing for a transplant because they couldn’t treat his illness! His father took the test reports to several hospitals, but they all said that a transplant wouldn’t have much effect, with a success rate of only about fifty percent. Moreover, the cost was exorbitant, around 700,000 CNY (~$96,000). This amount was astronomical for us! Even more despairing was that the hospitals couldn’t guarantee the child would recover after the surgery! The local doctors advised me to give up treatment. They said that even if we sold everything we owned, we wouldn’t be able to save the child, and we would end up losing both our money and our child. But as a mother, how could I bear to give up on my own child! I did not discharge him from the hospital, hoping for a miracle. Deep down, I strongly felt that a miracle would come!
Fortunately, a fellow patient staying in the same hospital room whose father received some books sent by a Buddhist practitioner of Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door, claiming that these books could offer a solution to cure their child’s illness. At that time, he didn’t read them and lent them to me. When I opened the book and saw the image of Guan Yin Bodhisattva, I felt a warm current flowing in my heart, as if I had grasped a life-saving straw. I felt that my child had hope!
I spent an entire afternoon reading the Dharma books and immediately started learning to recite the Buddhist scriptures according to the prayer and recitation methods described in the books! After sincerely reciting for about a week, my child’s condition improved. The shadows between his heart and liver disappeared and turned negative! The doctor said there was no need for a transplant. It was truly a miracle! Previously, neither medication nor chemotherapy was effective! Unexpectedly, after we recited the Buddhist scriptures, the shadows were gone. Guan Yin Bodhisattva truly responds to all prayers! We are so grateful!
At that time, the doctor was particularly puzzled and thought that the test results from Beijing might have been mixed up. They didn’t believe these results and suggested we undergo three consecutive bone marrow puncture tests. All the results were negative! I was especially grateful to Guan Yin Bodhisattva in my heart, thankful for this Buddhist affinity!
Previously, I didn’t even know where the temple gates faced. This time, I found a temple and knelt in front of Guan Yin Bodhisattva, crying and praying for my child’s leukemia to be cured soon! I made 3 vow:
1. Not eat sea and freshwater animals;
2. Not kill sentient beings;
3. Definitely spread the Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door!
Miraculously, after making these vows, my son recovered very quickly. Gratitude to Guan Yin Bodhisattva! Gratitude to Master Lu!
With the New Year of 2014 is approaching, my son started coughing again, and it was particularly severe! On the 29th day of the twelfth lunar month, we went to the hospital for a check-up. The result was pneumonia requiring hospitalization. The doctor said that for children who have had leukemia, pneumonia should not be taken lightly, as it could even be life-threatening if it becomes severe. I remembered Master Lu saying in His book that burning the first incense on New Year’s Eve and praying to Guan Yin Bodhisattva is especially effective. So, I decided to go home for the New Year. The head doctor said I was very brave and reminded us to return to the hospital immediately if my son felt it was getting serious.
On New Year’s Eve, I burned the first incense on time and prayed to Guan Yin Bodhisattva to bless my son’s pneumonia to recover, as I didn’t want to be hospitalized due to financial constraints. I vowed to release 1,000 fish. Unexpectedly, the vow was so effective. On the first day of the new year, my son’s cough was much lighter. On the second day, he hardly coughed. By the third day, he neither had a fever nor coughed. On the fourth day, we went to the outpatient department of the hospital for a check-up, and the pneumonia was gone! The recovery was incredibly fast; Guan Yin Bodhisattva is truly compassionate!
The head doctor was very surprised and asked how we treated it. After hearing my account, he repeatedly said, “It’s impossible!” Later, when there were children with pneumonia in the hospital, the head doctor would ask them to inquire how I treated my son’s pneumonia without hospitalization. When those having affinity with Buddha asked, I told them that it was through praying to Guan Yin Bodhisattva.
In 2015, during chemotherapy in the hospital, my son developed severe necrosis of the femoral head due to an overdose of hormone. The pain was unbearable whenever he walked. The doctor said this was inevitable. My son’s femoral head was severely damaged, and only a hip replacement would suffice; otherwise, he would be bedridden. This news was a thunderbolt! I wondered why I had to go through so much; what was the reason for all this?!
Helpless, I prayed to Guan Yin Bodhisattva for compassion and vowed to recite 49 Little Houses for eliminating my son’s femoral head karma. Once again, Guan Yin Bodhisattva’s responsiveness was proven! The Little Houses were incredibly effective! His femoral head necrosis miraculously healed! It was unbelievable! The doctor’s helpless situation was cured by Guan Yin Bodhisattva’s compassion! The Dharma is truly great; how fortunate I am to practice Buddhism and recite scriptures in this life!
The head doctor, seeing my son’s miraculous recovery, was very puzzled. He suggested my son do a check-up. Seeing our reluctance, he even offered to pay for it. He said it was impossible for femoral head necrosis not to hurt. The check-up results showed my son had only a slight sign of femoral head necrosis. At that time, the head doctor said that so many miraculous things had happened to us, heaven must be taking care of us!
Later, I spoke with the head doctor alone, saying that I believe in the Dharma and Guan Yin Bodhisattva. My son recovered through my practicing Buddhism and reciting scriptures. Grateful for Guan Yin Bodhisattva’s compassion, I guided this head doctor to believe in Buddhism. Later, he also began to practice Buddhism and recite scriptures.
When I first started practicing Buddhism, I really didn’t know how to make vows. Every day, I just recited Buddhist scriptures, recited Little Houses, bought fish for release, and transformed others into Buddhists. In 2019, under the compassionate protection of Guan Yin Bodhisattva, I finally contacted fellow practitioners! They helped me set up our Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door altar at home. Gratitude to Guan Yin Bodhisattva! Gratitude to Master Lu! Gratitude to fellow practitioners!
A single flower does not make spring, but a hundred flowers in full bloom bring spring to the garden! When transforming those having affinity with Buddha, I sincerely teach them how to pray and recite Buddhist scriptures, hoping to pass on my fortune and help more people change their destinies! Every time I see those I’ve guided diligently practicing Buddhism and reciting scriptures, I am especially happy. That kind of Dharma joy cannot be brought by anything else in the world.
The most blissful thing is that my son, under the blessing of Bodhisattva, successfully passed his college entrance exams this year! Gratitude to Guan Yin Bodhisattva! Gratitude to Master Lu!
In the chapter 21 of the second volume of Buddhism in Plain Terms, Master Lu instructs: “We must walk the path of spreading the Dharma to the end and save people to the end. As long as you care about others, they will care about you. If you are compassionate to others, Bodhisattva will be compassionate to you.”
I am truly grateful to Guan Yin Bodhisattva for always responding to my prayers! Grateful to my benevolent Master for bringing such a wonderful Dharma Door to the human world, allowing us to change our own and our families’ destinies through practicing Buddhism and reciting scriptures! Grateful to Guan Yin Bodhisattva for giving me the opportunity to follow Master Lu and widely guide those having affinity with Buddha, helping more people learn Buddhism, recite Buddhist scriptures, leave suffering, and find happiness, and change their destinies!

幸运的是，住在医院同一房间的病友收到了心灵法门师兄们邮寄的书，说这些书能救治孩子的病。当时他没看，就把书借给我了。我翻开书看到观世音菩萨像，心里有一种暖流在涌动，如同抓住救命的稻草。我感觉到孩子有救了！
我把法宝书籍看了一下午，便赶紧按照上面的祈求与念诵方法学习念诵经文！就这样虔诚地念诵了大概一周左右的时间，孩子的病情就有好转。孩子的心脏与肝脏的阴影一下子没有了，转成阴性了！医生说不用移植了。真是奇迹啊！之前无论用药还是化疗都无济于事！没想到我们念了经之后，阴影就没有了。真的是观世音菩萨有求必应！真的太感恩了！
当时医生觉得特别奇怪，以为是北京那边把化验单搞错了。他们不相信这种结果，还建议我们连着做了三个骨穿检查。结果都是阴性！我在心里特别地感恩观世音菩萨，感恩这一份佛缘！
之前，我连庙门朝哪儿开都不知道。这一次，我找到寺庙，进了寺院就跪在观世音菩萨面前，哭着祈求观世音 菩萨保佑孩子的白血病早日康复！并许愿：从此我不吃海鲜，不杀生，一定弘扬佛法！奇迹再次出现，许愿之后我儿子恢复得特别快。感恩观世音菩萨！感恩师父！
2014年临过年的时候，儿子又开始咳嗽，特别严重！腊月二十九去医院里检查，结果是肺炎需要住院。医生说得过这种病的孩子一旦得了肺炎，不能轻视，严重了甚至连命都会搭上。我想起来师父在书上说年三十晚上烧头香祈求观世音菩萨特别灵，便决定回家过年。当时主任医生还说我的胆子真大，提醒我们如果觉得严重了就赶紧回医院。
年三十我准时上头香，祈求观世音菩萨保佑我儿子的肺炎疾病恢复健康，我不想去住院，因为没有钱。我向观世音菩萨许愿放生1000条鱼。没想到许愿这么灵验。年初一我儿子咳嗽就特别轻了，年初二基本上就不咳嗽了，初三也不发烧，不咳嗽了，到初四我们去医院门诊，做了检查，结果是肺炎没有了！真的好得特别快，观世音菩萨真的太慈悲了！
当时主任很诧异，问我们怎么治疗的。听我讲了情况后，主任一再地说：“不可能的！”后来医院有肺炎的孩子，主任都让来问问我怎么给孩子治疗的肺炎，没住院就好了。然后如果有缘人来问，我就告诉他们，是祈求观世音菩萨保佑的。
2015年孩子在医院里化疗，由于激素药物过量导致孩子严重性的股骨头坏死，只要走路就疼得不得了。医生说这是必然趋势。孩子的股骨头已经坏得非常严重，只有换股骨头，否则就得躺在床上。这个消息真的是晴天霹雳！当时想，为什么让我经历这么多？这到底是为什么？！
无奈之下我祈求观世音菩萨慈悲，并向观世音菩萨许愿：针对孩子的股骨头业障，念诵49张经文组合小房子。果然又一次见证了观世音菩萨的有求必应！经文组合小房子灵验无比！儿子的股骨头坏死竟然神奇般地好了！简直难以置信！医生束手无策的事情，观世音菩萨慈悲给治好了！佛法真的太伟大了，今生学佛念经是多么幸运！
那位主任看到我儿子这么神奇地好了，非常不解。他建议我们做一下检查。见我们不愿意去做，便主动出钱让我们去检查。他说股骨头坏死不可能不疼。检查结果儿子只是轻微的有点股骨头坏死的征兆。当时，那位主任说这么多神奇的事情都发生在你们身上，老天真是照顾你们！
后来，我就单独跟主任说，我相信佛法，相信观世音菩萨。我儿子就是通过我学佛念经才好起来的。感恩观世音菩萨慈悲，让我把这位主任医生度到了。后来，他也开始学佛念经了。
刚学佛的时候，真的是不知道怎么许愿。每天就是念经，念经文组合小房子，买鱼放生、度人。2019年，在观世音菩萨妈妈的慈悲护佑下，我终于联系到了同门师兄！师兄帮我设上了咱们心灵法门的佛台。感恩观世音菩萨！感恩师父！感恩师兄们！
一花独放不是春，百花齐放春满园！在度化有缘人时，我真诚用心地教他们如何祈求念经，希望把我的这一份幸运传递下去，让更多有缘人改变命运！每次看着度到的人在精进地学佛念经，我都特别开心。那种快乐是人间任何事情带不来的喜悦。最法喜的是，我儿子今年在菩萨的保佑下顺顺利利地考上了大学！感恩观世音菩萨！感恩师父！
师父在《白话佛法》第二册第21篇中开示：“弘法这条路我们要走到底，救人要救到底。只要你常去关心人家，人家就会关心你，你常去慈悲人家，就有菩萨慈悲你。”
真的特别地感恩观世音菩萨，有求必应！感恩恩师慈父，把这么好的法门带到人间，让我们能够通过学佛念经改变自己和家人的命运！感恩观世音菩萨让我今生有机会跟随师父广度有缘，让更多有缘人学佛念经、离苦得乐、改变命运！
